My Review: This was a big hit in my house. Chocolate cereal is something that I use as a treat, but with the health benefits of Chocolate Cheerios, I have no problem serving this every day. Plus, I know my daughter will drink the excess milk in the bowl.

You can find children’s clothing on ShopWiki. ShopWiki is like a search engine for online shopping that helps you compare prices and shipping costs. You can search for all types of items there including girls clothing. There’s a size chart, information about fashion, and various categories including all types of winter clothing like hats, boots, tights and jackets.
Don’t forget casual girls clothing especially t-shirts, jeans, shorts and swimwear. That’s what my daughter likes, especially since we’re in a warm climate. I liked that when I clicked on a particular category like jeans that I could filter prices, colors, stores and brands. I wish that I could search by price or size for example to make it easier to find what I wanted, but there are some amazing bargains and they are based in the US too. (There are other countries including the UK, France and Australia among others.)
Finding children’s books was easy too. They were categorized by age, All Time Best Sellers from Publishers Weekly and magazines. Since I’m a book buyer, this is one of my favorite places on ShopWiki. I also liked being able to search for any item by name. I tried Disney girls shirt and found a bunch.
ShopWiki is a good place to start shopping online for children’s clothing and many more items. You’ll find discounts and bargains galore.

Disney Pressed Pennies Family Fun
Collecting Disney pressed pennies is a fun family event. Pressed Pennies are not just a souvenir but something to do when you’re at any of the Disney parks or hotels. You can find pressed penny machines all over the parks and finding them is just part of the excitement. Then collecting them, knowing which ones you have and still need, is the other part.
They only cost 51 cents – the penny to be pressed, stretched or elongated and 50 cents to have it done. You can purchase a holder for the pennies as you start to collect enough of them to display and keep them organized. The cost for the collection books are about $10 – $15 currently.
One of the things that makes collecting squashed pennies so much fun is that you can never finish collecting them all. Disney changes the types of pennies offered in the machines and changes out machines too. Most machines offer three types of pennies within the same theme. For example, near a Buzz Lightyear attraction, you most likely will find a machine that offers pressed pennies that featur Buzz, the attraction itself and Zurg.

I suggest just getting one penny from one machine. This makes the search for new pennies surprising each time. You never know what you’ll find at the next machine. If you plan on another trip next year in or the years to come, bring along that display book and try to find some more pennies to fill it up.
Don’t forget to use older pennies without zinc. Preferable pennies before the year 1982. This way you won’t have any silver shining through after the process of pressing. If you want a shine, use some silver cleaner on the pennies before you press them. This is something the family can do before your trip.
Of course there’s always something exciting to do at Disney, but adding a fun family event like collecting Disney pressed pennies makes you look forward to your trip even more.

I often wonder if there is a clumsy gene. If there is we have it and it started with me. My two daughters got it from me, poor things. Alicia, who is now 23 had it much worse. We were at doctors and emergency rooms so often that I feared that I might be getting a visit from child protective services because of all of the injury claims. Thank goodness our doctor understood that Alicia would fall over her own feet, walk into walls and trip over nothing. It was scary and I did all I could do to see if there were problems with her eyes or if she mobility issues.
She was fine, just clumsy. When Samantha came along, it was the same thing. She would fall and get hurt more often than other children. With her, she didn’t end up injured that badly that we would be at the doctors or hospital, but we did consider buying stock in band aids.

Now if we were greedy people, my husband and I could attempt to get some money from a Personal Injury Claim when one of our daughters got hurt in a public place. Knowing the history of our children we wouldn’t put the blame on anyone else for their injuries.
One thing that we’ve learned is that we purchase shoes and sneakers that are safe to try to prevent more injuries for Samantha. Alicia is doing much better now that she is older. I am too, but I do have my moments.

Ferdinand Uses the Potty is a book with colorful images, rhymes and humor and a built in lesson for your child about toilet training. Covering a topic that can cause problems among parents of all walks of life, this book is a fun way to get your child to open up about his fears or concerns about potty training.

Ferdinand, a yellow frog, wets his bed one night, but has no idea what has happened. When he tells his friend, a boy, who has gone through the same thing, he is told how to handle it – use the toilet. But Ferdinand remembers what happens with toilets:
“Oh no,” said the frog, “I’m not going in there.” I’ve heard the loud sound that thing makes!” “Every time you go in there, I hear a WHOOSH sound, I’m afraid that thing gives me the shakes!”
Soon, though, Ferdinand conquers his fear and is very proud of himself. His fear is put into words that are easily understood by toddlers as well as the way that he gets over them. Written by Jay Tucker, a father, teacher and writer and illustrated by D.E. West, a father, husband, graphic designer and artist, Ferdinand Uses the Potty: An Empowering Toilet Training Tale is published by Loving Press.
My Review: The rhyming, adorable character, Ferdinand and the bright, cherry illustrations make this a book that your child will want you to read again and again. My daughter had major fears of potty training and I wish that I had this for her. Seeing a frog go through it with the help of a child is a creative move. I recommend this to parents who are in the throes of potty training of going to give it a start.
To Purchase: Available on Amazon.com for $11.86
You can also read a parent’s guide, get coloring pages and play Frogger on the Ferdie the Frog website.
