A few days ago, I got a huge surprise waiting outside my door. There was a big box with the picture of Little Debbie on it.

I knew that I was getting samples from them, but I never thought the box would be so big and that there would be eight boxes of Little Debbie 100 Calories Snacks:

  1. Chocolate Cakes – So yummy!  These are just right when I start craving chocolate. They hit the spot.
  2. chocolate cakes

  3. Yellow Cakes – Just like a small version of a cupcake with icing, or a piece of cake with icing. Remember the cake and icing part.
  4. yellow cakes

  5. Nutty Bar Singles – I craved these during one of my pregnancies. Eating them again was like heaven without the morning sickness.  Peanut Butter, chocolate and with a crunchy wafer. *These are not part of the salmonella recall and are perfectly safe to eat.*

  7. Nutty Bar P.B. Stix – Same minus the chocolate. Sometimes you just don’t feel like chocolate. Not me, but you and my husband. *Not in recall as above.*

  1. How to burn 100 calories?

Go shopping for those “have-to-have” gifts on Black Friday. Frantically run in one store, jog in place until you are waited on and then frantically run back out, jump into your car, race over to the next store, skidding to a stop. Rush in store #2 only to find they are already out of the item you wanted. Sprint back out to the car and on to store #3!

  2. turn the music up really loud and dance around the house, then when the kids yell that you are embarrassing them, start singing

  3. Well, our cats are a bit overweight as well, so I’m thinking about thirty minutes of chasing them around the house and we’ll all lose a few pounds. *grin*

  4. Playing in the snow…making snow angels, forts, snowmen and then of course shoveling out the drive which is not as much fun!

  5. Have a neighbors dog get into your trash and spread it all over the yard. Picking all that up and the extra energy from being frustrated, should easily burn 100 calories. Happened to me this morning, and I broke a sweat cleaning it up.

    thanks for sharing

  6. An easy way to burn 100 calories:
1 – Keep your extra food in the basement, either in a freezer and/or on a shelf. (This involves buying every single time there is something on sale at the supermarket.)
2 – Make a note of what you need next time you get a chance to go down there: a jar of baby food.
3 – Make a note of other things you should get while you are down there – paper towels, cheerios, etc.
4 – Go downstairs and get the paper towels, cheerios, etc.
5 – Come upstairs to a screaming baby.
6 – Look at clock and realize you should have fed baby 1/2 hour ago.
7 – Go back downstairs for baby food.
8 – Stand looking at array of items for 2 minutes trying to remember what it was you really needed.
    9 – Hear a loud clunk upstairs.
10 – Run upstairs only to find suspiciously happy children.
11 – Start preparing baby’s lunch only to remember you needed that baby food.
12 – Go downstairs, get baby food and grab a piece of the leftover Christmas candy you’re keeping down there so you don’t eat it all in one sitting because it’s easily accessible in the kitchen.
13 – Go back upstairs and eat candy.
So, you have my way to burn a 100 calories and put it right back on.

  7. Thank you for the yummy giveaway! Put on some great music and dance away vigorously (while no one is watching, of course) – that’ll burn ya some calories. :)

  8. I have 19 month old twins and a 4 month old…Burn 100 calories? How about pack everyone up and everything they need and get them in the car! THAT will burn at least 100 cals!

  10. Walk my Siberian Husky puppy! I use the term puppy lightly. He’s only 7 months old but he is huge and very strong. We are trying to teach him not to pull but Husky’s were bred to pull and it is not an easy task!!

  11. This is an every day thing for me, but my dog loves to paw at you and then run (making you chase him). So, if you do this every other hour, you are good to go!

  12. Well, since I have to keep it family friendly…giving my dogs a bath. Because this entails a lot of chasing, pulling, washing, drying and then cleaning the entire bathroom after they have destroyed it with soap suds. That might just be 200 calories…100 per dog.

  13. A quick and weird way to burn 100 calories?
I do butt squats while washing the dishes, I do lunges as I walk room to room…LOL

I am already a subscriber, those look tasty.

  14. Work with me one day. I am a merchandiser and have to walk about 3 Walmart Superstores each day.

  15. I would burn 100 calories by turning on some disco and vacuuming the house in 5 inch stiletto heels…if you have ever seen me try to walk in heels, you would know that I am gonna burn at least 50 calories just trying to stand up in them!

  16. Jump up and down on the bed 1336 times…I looked it up LoL! Thanks for the chance to win!

  17. You can burn 100 calories from doing 1/2 hour of moderate level housework (e.g. moping, dusting, picking up toys, hanging up clothes on hangers, etc.). I know this because I heard from a medical doctor on TV that you can burn 200 calories in an hour this way, so just half that to get the 100 calories.

  18. I think trying to give one of my CATS a bath would burn at least 100 calories! It’s not fun and fun at the same time! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  19. I know I’ve burned 100 calories when my cat accidentally jumps in the toilet, I try to catch her, she runs all over the house, I finally catch her and bathe her. Then she gets loose from my grip and shakes water all over the bathroom. Then I go clean the entire house from her toilet rampage.
Heck, that might even be 200 calories!

  20. Well, I’d probably ride 15 min. on the exercise bike. I’ve seen the Little Debbie packs in the store but haven’t tried them yet – I’d love to. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

  21. Walk around in your front yard doing the chicken dance for 15 minutes. It should burn a good deal of calories.(and give your neighbors a good laugh).

  22. I take the dog for a walk every day….well, the dog actually drags me along and I have to walk fast/jog to keep up!
Thanks for the chance to win!

  23. One way I think is to run instead of walk to places. For instance, I have started running from work to the train and from train to home at least in one direction (home to owrk or work to home). Also, I read once that shopping, especially clothes shopping burns a couple hundred calories from the walking and putting on and off clothes.

  24. I agree with others keep food in garage- have to go and dress to get it, putting on boots, coat, etc…

ok unusual..how about standing on your head and doing scissor marks or bike marks

  25. I think if I sit here and think REALLLLLLY hard about how very good these will taste as I inhale the entire box of them at once, it should burn 100 calories. Right??? ;-)

  29. Ahh…I live on 100 calorie packs! You gotta pick me!!

burn 100 calories…you can do 40 min. of sweeping, mopping, vacumming and scrubbing (plus your house will be sparkly clean!!)

  30. I do this at least twice a day and I am sure it burns that much or more …. Run down two flights of stairs carrying a full laundry basket, then realize you forgot something you wanted to put in, run back up the two flights of stairs and get it, run back down and put it in. Then right before you start the washing machine your DH will yell that he forgot to give you something he wanted in and you have to run back up and then down AGAIN!

  31. One great way to burn 100 calories is to close off your cubicle at work. Release 3 mice inside said cubicle. Avoid the mice at all costs for five minutes without standing on the desk. Yup! That should do it! LOL!

  32. Do the Bella Bella Dancerella Cheerleading with a bunch of 3 year olds and that should burn the 100 calories plus some extra.

  35. I googled Burn 100 Calories and was amazed at all the different ways this could be done. The housework ones I already do (except for ironing) but never thought of them as calorie burners. There are also fun ones.

    25 minutes of vacuuming
25 minutes of ironing [who irons any more?]
In fact 20 minutes of vigorous housework burns 100 calories
12 minutes of volleyball. That’s fun!
    10 minutes of biking. (Leisurely??)
Mowing the lawn with an old-fashioned push mower

Now, bring on those Little Debbie snacks. Yummers.
20 minutes of golf (I don’t think the cart counts)
    A 15 minute leisurely swim

  36. Hmm, get ready to watch your favorite movie…pop popcorn but leave the bowl on the kitchen table….go watch movie getting up and walking to the kitchen to get popcorn every time you want a bite.

  37. My 6 year old and I have been doing Bollywood dance moves. We don’t really care where we are either. Some of those moves are not only off the wall, but they are like extreme exercise for us.

  38. Grab a big pot and rubber spatula. March up and down the street showing off your amazing drum skills to your neighbors. 10-15 times should do it. :)
