Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Your Children

Valentine’s Day doesn’t only have to be about romantic love. If you have children, why not show them you love them too? No need to buy gifts or spend any money on them. I feel there’s too much of that happening with holidays now anyway. There’s other ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your children:

  1. Make some decorations together – A Laced Heart,  A Cut-Out Paper Heart and Valentine Paper Chains. Then have fun hanging them up around your home.
  2. Printable Valentine’s Day cards are available for school, for teachers, and for each other.
  3. pancakes

  4. Make and eat some heart shaped food – Pancakes with Maple and Raspberry Sauce, pizza, cut up sandwiches using a SweetBytes Sandwich Crust Cutter- Heart Shape
  5. Spend some time together reading a book, watching a movie like Lady and the Tramp (50th Anniversary Edition), or
just talking. Be sure to cuddle!

  1. I know valentine’s day is gone, but I was home all day, and made gifts for my husband and kids. My daughter got a pendant, my husband a keyring, my son a tshirt (didn’t make this one) made them all homemade cards and made chocolate chip cakes and cut out hearts with a cookie cutter. I think, even as teenagers my kids enjoyed it, Hubby, too.

Love your blog and thanks for all you do.
