Father’s Day Activities

Father’s Day in the US is June 21st. Are you ready yet? Here are some ideas to make this day special:

Let Dad Sleep In – Yes, you can give him breakfast in bed, but since many fathers have to wake up early, let him sleep in one day. If not, then go ahead and let the kids jump on the bed!

Breakfast for Champions – Forget about diets, cholestorol and what is healthy. Give him bacon, pancakes, biscuts and gravy and more bacon. Let him eat his favorite foods and lots of it.

Handmade Stuff – Don’t let them fool you, Dads love to see what their children make. Help them make a card, picture or cozy for their soda cans. Let them put their special touches into their work and you’ll see him beaming ear to ear.

Dinner Out or In – Let him decide if he wants to go out to eat, get take out or have a homemade meal. It’s his day after all.

Television Remote Ownership – Give in and let him have the remote for the day. I’m not sure if he’ll chose sports, kungfu movies or the reruns of soap operas. But, I’m sure he’ll be very pleased with being able to switch channels or just watching what he wants.

What are some of the things you do for your fathers on his special day? Do you buy presents?
