Infant and Toddler Oral Health Care by MAM

Teething babies are never fun to deal with unless you have a product like the MAM Massaging Brush in their hands to help ease discomfort.  Lacey, who is 18 months old likes to chew on all the parts making sure she gets the feel for every nook, cranny and bristle on her incoming molars.  The groves on the handle fit her delicate little fingers as if it was made especially for her.  The MAM Massaging Brush is great for ages 3 months and up. It is BPA & PVC free. I highly recommend it for all teething babies.

Mam Toothbrush

I was skeptical at first glance of the MAM Bite & Brush Teether.  I thought that it would be tough for my baby to decide which part to put in her mouth to brush her teeth.  My skepticism was quickly resolved as soon as I gave my baby the Bite & Brush.  She immediately put the correct end in her mouth and gave me a huge smile. She loved the fact that she could keep the teether in her mouth without having to hold it with her hands.  With its round design, she could play with other toys and still get relief from teething and clean her teeth.  This product is designed for ages 3 months and up and is also BPA & PVC free.  Anyone who likes a teether that also cleans baby’s teeth; this is the product for you.

Mam Teether

The MAM Training toothbrush is unlike any I have ever seen before with its super soft bristles on one end and a built in gum massager on the other end.  The soft bristles were so gentle on my baby’s delicate gums and teeth.  The handle is the same as the Massaging brush which makes it very easy for small fingers to grab it. Made for ages 6 months and up this toothbrush sets a good foundation for training in good oral hygiene care.

Having 8 children, I have used a lot of baby toothbrushes and find the MAM Oral Care line to be one of my favorites. They were easy to use, are all BPA & PVC free, and best of all, my baby enjoyed them and actually looked forward to brushing her teeth every day.

Keeping Baby Safe At Home

One of the most important things to consider to keeping baby safe at home is child safety gates. It’s easy to look away for just a minute and lose track of where your baby has gone by creeping, crawling or walking. There’s so many horror stories here in Florida about young children drowning in backyard pools or other water sources near the home.

Using pressure gates that lead to outside, especially ones that fit sliding glass doors, is one solution to keeping your baby safe inside your home. The ones that automatically close behind you are one of the safest. Pressure gates means that the gate is mounted with hardware that won’t damage walls.

Don’t forget to install stairway gates to prevent injuries from falls. Babies seem to be fascinated by the free fall drop of steps. So keep those areas safe. Even though baby gates may not be a cute gift, they make great baby shower gifts as many families don’t own them, especially with a new baby.

Consider shopping for your home safety needs at KidSafeInc.com who also provided me with the information for this post. They provide all types of baby gates and other safety items for your home too.

ikookie Organic Baby Clothes Review And Giveaway

*CONTEST ENDED. WINNER ANNOUNCED.*

ikookie has organic baby clothes, towels, blankets, hats and diaper covers that are made of 100% cotton. The cotton is “grown with natural fertilizers and free of toxic chemicals”. It is naturally soft and just perfect for baby’s delicate skin.

I fell in love with the Short Sleeve Lap T-Shirts that are available in solid colors and with wording such as “Little Guy” and the logo ikookie. The colors are as cute as the names, nature, sky and blush for example. I chose a short sleeve “Cute As A Bug” shirt in size 18 – 24 months to review. It is so soft and adorable. It adds style to any outfit and would work for a boy or girl. My model is Leah who is almost 2. She is definitely enjoying showing off her new shirt and who can blame her?

Travel With Me JetHeads Clean Pillowcases

My family and I haven’t been on a plane in ages, so when I received Travel With Me JetHeads Disposable Airline Pillowcases I wasn’t sure what I would do with them. How could I forget that at the end of this month we’ll be flying to Kansas for my daughter’s wedding? I didn’t forget about the wedding, but was trying to forget about our means of transportation.

I’m not fond of airplanes, not because I’m afraid of crashes, but because I can’t stand being in one place with a lot of people under some unhealthy conditions. There’s the recycled air, the closeness of sick people and the pillows that we use that most likely have been used previously. If you don’t believe me, check out this article by Betsy Wade in the NY Times, where it states that most airlines change pillows at the end of the day, not the end of the flight. Yuck!

I’m scared of germs and lice and micro-organisms, oh my! And with being able to carry on one piece of luggage per person, I can’t take our own pillows on board. So we’ll be taking JetHeads with us. They are made of a soft, comfortable, non-woven fabric. Now we can snuggle and nap and feel comfy without fear.

They come 2 to a package for $5.95 or 4 packages for $19.99. A portion of every sale is donated to the fight against breast cancer. Find them at Travel With Me.

Easter Basket Toys

Here are some cute toys that will fit into your child’s Easter Basket and put a big smile on their face:

Toddlers will get a kick out of the Easter Potato Head, Spud Bunny. He is made for children ages 2 and older. This Ages and Stages toy from Playschool is adorable, helps your child be creative and use their imagination. As with all the  Potato Heads, there are individual parts to attach to his body. For Spud Bunny there’s bunny ears, bunny shoes, a tail and a pink nose. Of course all the parts can be stored in the compartment under the body. No need to worry about lost parts. It fits into a large Easter basket. Make it the main toy, add some candy and you’re all set.

There are bunnies for boys and girls. The difference is the in the color of the ears, nose and small nose on the slippers.  Once you buy one of these toys, you can just buy the sets of “Parts and Pieces”  This gift can start a collection for your child.

Littlest Pet Shop toys are really hot. Big and little girls collect them. They are made for Ages 4 and up. But my 10 year old thinks they are “the cutest”. And because there’s an online world for them, more tech savvy girls are collecting them. You can buy a two set package like this one here. This one is “Sportiest” and there are other categories like Funniest, Sassiest, Messiest. You can buy play sets, accessories and even digital toys. Start off Easter and Spring with something brand new for them to get interested in and begin collecting. You’ll make your daughter’s day!
