As a mom, how can you not worry? Not panicked, but definitely worried. Even a mild fever is not good for my little one with the medication she’s on. We can’t lock ourselves in our homes, but as a parent I have a duty to look out for her and keep her safe. It’s a tough job.

It seems like the flu is always hardest on the little ones and the elderly. I listen to the news to keep informed, but for now I’m not too worried!

This is the first I’ve heard of this. Better call my sister since she lives in NYC!

If the pigs were better cared for, the people handling them wouldn’t get sick! The pigs that are sick have a respiratory infection.

Just talked to my sister and she said she’s avoiding Swine Flu by not ordering in Mexican tonight. What a smart-mouth. :-P

It’s a shame that this is turning into a media circus. The flu has been improperly named and there has been a ton of false information given out about it as well through various sources (most of them internet related)

Definitely agree with getting your info from reliable sources on this kind of thing. And double check your info too! Remember that just because you’re watching the local news doesn’t mean you’re getting 100% accurate information. Check the info against other main stream news sources and see if they all agree with each other etc…

I’m not worried yet. There are plenty of other dangerous contagious infectious things out there that my kids can get just as easily, if not easier.
